13th Massachusetts InfantryCompany FOrganized in October, 2005 by a group of Civil War Veterans, oops, that's Veteran Civil War Re-enactors & living historians, this group based (appropriately) in Eastern Massachusetts has been proudly presenting the regiment & its history to the general public at parades, festivals, memorials & re-enactments. They take care to represent the unit with accurate detail, from the red blanket rolls, to the replica Regimental flags based on original patterns.  Remembrance Day; 2006, at the 13th Mass. Mass are waving again after an absence of 141 years ! Their
membership base includes Southern New Hampshire, Connecticut &
Rhode Island. If you live In
New England and you are interested in the 13th Mass., you owe it to
yourself to attend some of their events. They regularly travel to
the Gettysburg Remembrance Day Ceremonies in that town every November.
(The group also does something with pumpkins which they have not
yet shared with me).
